We collect information to provide and improve our services. The types of personal data we collect depend on how you interact with our platform.

• Information You Provide:
  • Account Information: When you register as a user or client, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and physical address.
  • Client Information: For our NPSaaS clients, we collect company details, including business name, tax information, and other relevant corporate data.
  • Support & Communication: If you contact us, we collect the content of your communications, including emails and support tickets.
  • User-Generated Content: Our clients' news channels may collect user data, such as comments or forum posts. While we host this data, our clients are the "Data Fiduciaries" (data controllers) for this content, and their own privacy policies govern its collection.

 

• Information We Collect Automatically:
  • Usage Data: We collect information about your interactions with our platform, such as the pages you visit, the time and duration of your visit, and features you use.
  • Device and Network Information: We automatically collect data about the device and network you use to access our services, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
  • Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience, analyze trends, and track user movements on our site. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

 

2. How We Use Your Data

  • We use the Meta API to enable our clients to cross-post their hyperlocal news content to platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
  • When a client connects their news portal to a Meta account, we will receive data from Meta only as necessary to provide this service. This may include access to the client's Facebook Page ID, access token, and public content data (posts, comments, etc.) to facilitate posting and content management.
  • We will never collect, store, or use your personal data from your Meta profile beyond what is explicitly required for the functionality you've requested. This is done with your express, informed consent.
  • In the event of any changes to our use of Meta's API that would require a different level of data access, we will notify you and obtain your explicit consent before proceeding.

 

• For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your data if required by law or in response to a valid request from a government or law enforcement authority in India or another jurisdiction.

As a data principal under the DPDPA, you have the right to:

• Access and Correction: You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you and to request corrections to any inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You may request that we delete your personal data when it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
