Mau (Bhind). A new controversy has emerged regarding alleged 'PDC' power theft at the local electricity distribution center, amounting to approximately ₹38.40 lakh. Social activist Vineet Singh Kushwaha submitted a written application to the Mau police station on September 20, demanding the registration of a criminal case against Gohad DGM James Lakra, power station manager Ravindra Singh Gaur, and outsourced employee Kuldeep Yadav.
Accused of leaking confidential investigation file
The application alleges that a confidential complaint was filed with the Chief General Manager (CGM) office in Gwalior regarding power theft and revenue loss by showing PDCs on paper to some consumers at the Mau power station. The investigation of the complaint was assigned to DGM James Lakra through letters numbered 5152 and 3253.
The complainant alleges that during the investigation, the relevant confidential documents and information of the complainant allegedly reached the accused officers and employees.
Allegations of threats on WhatsApp
According to Vineet Singh Kushwaha, after the information about the file came to light, outsourced employee Kuldeep Yadav allegedly sent screenshots of the government document through WhatsApp and threatened to withdraw the complaint.
In the case, the complainant has demanded an impartial investigation into the leakage of confidential documents, misuse of position and alleged threats and action against the concerned people.
The police say they are investigating the matter based on the application. Only after the investigation will the veracity of the allegations and responsibility become clear.
